MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY TREATMENT (MABs)

ALL TREATMENTS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

7/18/22 Update:  We are continuing to provide the MAB treatment Bebtelovimab (made by Eli-Lilly) both in-home and in-facility whereas it is still effective against the current COVID-19 variants per the CDC.

We are now providing in-home Monoclonal Antibody treatments (MABs) for all residents or patients of Rhode Island.  MABs are currently under emergency authorization for use in COVID-19 positive patients within 7 days of symptom onset.

Our experienced Registered Nurses will come directly to your home and administer treatment.  Treatment time is around 1 to 1.5 hours which includes administration and monitoring.

In order to book an appointment we will need your provider (physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner) to sign and fax the following order form to our office:

Once the form above is completed by your providers office and faxed we will call you to book your appointment.

We are also accepting referrals from RI based urgent care centers and practices who are not currently offering this treatment.

If you have any questions regarding treatment please e-mail us at AlertMIHC@AlertEMS.com

Mobile Integrated Healthcare (MIHC)

What is MIHC?

Mobile Integrated Healthcare is a fairly newer healthcare model where progressive healthcare companies like Alert Healthcare bring wellness directly to the patients home.  We partner with hospitals and ACO’s to identify high risk patients with conditions such as COPD, CHF, Diabetes, etc., and provide them with preventative care in the safety of their own home.  This preventative care has been proven to decrease hospital re-admissions in high risk patients.

Most high risk patients do not get the time and attention they need to keep up with medication changes and have all of their medical questions answered.  We will send a trained clinician to the patients home for a vital sign check up and can perform the following at each visit:

  • Blood Pressure, Heart Rate, Lung Sounds, SpO2 (pulse oximetry), ECG (Electrocardiograms), 12-Lead ECG’s, Blood Sugar Analysis, ETCO2 (End Tidal Carbon Dioxide), Weight and more.

These general visits allow for patients to ask any questions they may have and connect with providers via Telemedicine if needed.

Prior to a patient being enrolled into a program like this our clinicians will do a full home assessment to make sure the patient and their home is safe for them.  Constant communication with the patients provider means more up-to-date clinical data to make medical decisions on.  Many times a patient can be avoid a hospital visit by being treated at home in conjunction with provider instructions.

On-Call RN Nursing Triage Line & On-Call Urgent Home Response

Alert Healthcare provides a 24/7 on-call RN nurse triage phone line for patients.  This phone line is then answered by a trained RN to discuss and triage any concerns a patient may have.  A simple medication question or clarification can help save a life.  Our nurses are trained to identify if and when there is an emergency situation and will contact 9-1-1 immediately if needed.  If a situation is not emergency but still requires an in-person visit we will send an urgent on-call clinician out to the patients home for a vital sign check and possible medication treatment to help avoid hospital admissions.
